Upgrading to HD CCTV

Do you have an existing CCTV system that you want to upgrade to High Definition?

Our HD CCTV solution is perfect for people wanting to upgrade for a number of reasons:

Our HD-TVI Digital Video Recorders are also compatible with standard-definition CCTV cameras meaning you don’t necessarily have to change all your cameras in one go. Swap your DVR and either replace all your cameras from our HD range, keep some of your old cameras and fit HD cameras in locations where you need improved definition or use your existing cameras and replace them with HD sometime in the future. The DVR automatically detects what camera is connected to and adjusts the recording resolution accordingly.

Our HD cameras and recorders should work with your existing cable providing it has standard BNC video  / 5.5mm power connectors but you do need to make sure the improved cameras won’t suffer voltage drop. Cables from CCTV kits where you get everything in one box sometimes suffer voltage drops when decent cameras are connected. Many HD CCTV solutions require very specific cable, our technology is happy with either coax or CAT5e / CAT6 cable. If your existing standard definition system works then so should our HD system.

Our DVR recorders are well specced and fully remote access so you won’t have to compromise functionality just because you want to upgrade to 1080P high definition.

If you order the DVR and hard drive(s) at the same time we will fit the drive(s), format them and configure the DVR with basic settings so that it arrives plug and play. All you have to do is connect cameras.

Feel free to give us a call if you want to discuss any aspect of your system to make sure you order the right equipment. Upgrading your CCTV system is quick easy and extremely rewarding particularly if you don’t need to run new cables.
